Turning Puerto Rico's rooftops into AI infrastructure.

A new, asset-backed revenue stream for the island's distributed solar — and the on-site infrastructure the AI economy cannot build fast enough by conventional means.

The opportunity

The energy economy already has what the AI economy needs.

Puerto Rico generates more distributed solar power per household than almost anywhere in the United States — yet has few attractive places to sell the surplus. At the same time, the AI economy is short of the two things the island has in abundance: clean power behind the meter, and the physical space to put computers right next to it.

SOLENTRA connects those two facts — turning suitably-equipped properties into nodes of a distributed AI-compute network. We focus first where it matters most: larger commercial and industrial sites with the power and space to host meaningful capacity. Not every rooftop — the right ones.

A new income stream

An asset-backed revenue stream for hosts — more attractive than exporting surplus power to the utility, with little or no upfront cost.

Resilient by design

Compute runs on the host's own solar-and-storage, so it keeps producing through grid disruption.

Online in months

Energized sites today — capacity comes online without a multi-year grid-interconnection queue to join.

The shift

AI has a power problem — and that is the opening.

Demand for AI compute is accelerating faster than the power and permitting needed to serve it. The binding constraint is no longer chips — it is energized real estate. New centralized capacity faces interconnection queues measured in years, rate pressure, and local opposition. A distributed network of small, already-energized sites can come online quietly, quickly, and where power already exists.

How it works

From "has solar" to a live, revenue-generating node.

A full-stack company takes each property through a repeatable sequence — and stays to own and operate the asset.

01 / Qualify

Find the right sites

Identify and qualify host sites — larger commercial and industrial properties first.

02 / Assess

Evaluate the energy

Assess the host's solar-and-storage system and design any upgrades needed for compute.

03 / Procure

Source the hardware

Specify and source approved compute hardware suited to the site.

04 / Install

Build the stack

Power, high-speed data, climate control, and fire suppression — installed to standard.

05 / Operate

Run the node

Own, finance, and operate the asset, connecting it to serve paying workloads.

06 / Share

Pay the host

Pay the property owner a recurring share of node income — a new revenue stream.

The ownership model is the heart of it. Rather than ask hosts to buy hardware, SOLENTRA owns and finances the equipment — just as solar companies own the panels they install. The host earns income with little or no upfront cost, and the network grows site by site.

Why a distributed model — and why here

The match is almost one-to-one.

A network of many small, energized sites scales faster — and more resiliently — than a handful of centralized mega-campuses. The island's distributed, behind-the-meter power is the model's natural home.

What AI infrastructure needs
What Puerto Rico already has
Clean power, behind the meter
A large, growing base of rooftop solar + storage
Physical space next to the power
Larger commercial and industrial sites with room to host
Speed — capacity online in months
Energized sites today; no grid queue to join
Resilience and uptime
On-site solar + battery that runs through outages
A better use for surplus energy

Where we are

A staged path — proven before it scales.

The model is validated at the pilot before capital deploys into the first commercial sites, then scaled where the economics are demonstrated rather than assumed.

Phase 01

Pilot

A concept-proving pilot at a residential property in Montehiedra, San Juan — validating the end-to-end model: assessment, installation, asset ownership, and live compute.

Underway
Phase 02

Deployment

Building out the first cohort of commercial host sites where the unit is proven — the early network across the island.

Upcoming
Phase 03

Commercialization

Scaling the distributed network at pace — then exporting the playbook to comparable high-solar, high-cost, grid-constrained markets.

Our standard

Triple Alpha — a certification built for trust at scale.

Scaling a distributed network is as much a trust problem as an engineering one. Customers, partners, and hosts all need confidence that a given site is genuinely compute-ready, resilient, and safe.

Triple Alpha is SOLENTRA's proprietary methodology and certification standard for qualifying host properties — covering power adequacy, resilience, and safety. It makes deployments fast and consistent, and it travels with the network as it grows.

Early cohort · by introduction

We're selecting a limited number of early host sites and partners.

The pilot is underway and introductions are happening now. In this phase we prioritize larger commercial and industrial sites — properties with solar-and-storage and the scale to host meaningful capacity. If that's you, or you can open the right doors, register your interest to be considered for the early cohort. This phase is selective and by introduction — it isn't for every property.
